TV Housewives and Tax Issues
I am the Senior Tax Advisor at Choice Tax Solutions Inc. I prepare taxes and represent taxpayers with IRS problems in New York City (as well as all U.S. states and globally for U.S. people). I have worked with non-filers and problem cases for 20 years. I know how to help my clients navigate the process with some really good results (most recent: saved a taxpayer with a $96,000 IRS bill — all he had to pay was $981).
Some people stay on track and never have another tax problem, and others get themselves right back into trouble.
Celebrities are no strangers to tax problems. While they face many types of challengers (some the “average” person doesn’t have), their tax issues ignite widespread media attention. Sometimes the difficulty is in finding honest and knowledgeable assistance from professionals, other times it is their inability to deal with finances and other “boring” details.
First and foremost, I don’t personally know Teresa Guidice, her spouse or former spouse, or anyone associated with them. However, it appears she falls into the “back in trouble” bucket.
Like many of my clients, she had some of the same problems:
- Failure to file tax returns
- Failure to pay taxes
- Not addressing state problems (not all tax problems are solely with the IRS – Teresa Guidice and her husband Louis Ruelas reported have liens and huge tax balances with the State of New Jersey.)
Every case is different and needs a good strategy; there is a way to address these tax problems and have a good result. Hopefully Ms. Guidice finds the necessary help.
